Polyacrylamide (PAM) is a water-soluble linear high-molecular-weight polymer formed by free-radical-initiated polymerization of acrylamide (AM) monomer. Its chemical formula is(C3H5NO)n, and its CAS number is 9003-05-8. The PAM main chain contains a large number of amide groups and has high chemical activity. It can be grafted or crosslinked to obtain various modified derivatives. It is one of the most widely used water-soluble polymers and is known as an “auxiliary agent for all industries.”
